RADIOLOGY
Wendy Gwin, DVM is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Dr. Gwin is a 2002 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, FL and a residency in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology at the University of Georgia. Dr. Gwin received the Outstanding House Officer Award at the University of Georgia in 2006. Her special interests include small animal radiography, ultrasound and cross sectional imaging.
INTERNAL MEDICINE
Anthony Ishak, DVM is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Ishak grew up in a suburb west of Boston, Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia in 1996. He then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 2002. He completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at North Carolina State University in 2003 and his residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Colorado State University in 2006. His professional interests include all aspects of veterinary internal medicine. Dr. Ishak’s hobbies include soccer, tennis, scuba diving, hiking and camping, reading, and chess.
NEUROLOGY
Michael Kimura, DVM was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to the states to receive his Bachelors of Science in microbiology, biological sciences and anatomy (minor) from Colorado State University in 1995. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1999 and spent the next two years in private practice in Japan. Dr. Kimura completed a general rotating internship at University of Georgia in 2002 and completed a Neurology internship at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in 2003. Dr. Kimura completed his residency in Neurology at Colorado State University in 2006. He is interested in all aspects of neurology, but with special interest in peripheral nerve damage and surgical repair, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, and spinal cord injury. In his free time, Dr. Kimura enjoys fresh water fly-fishing, hiking, camping, tennis and Japanese cuisine cooking.
OPHTHALMOLOGY
Franck Ollivier, DMV, PhD attended the National School of Veterinary Medicine in Lyon, France from 1992-1996. After attending veterinary school, Dr. Ollivier did an ophthalmology internship in the National School of Toulouse. Dr. Ollivier earned his Dr. Med. Vet. (DMV) degree in 1999. He worked as a veterinary ophthalmologist in a private referral practice in Grenoble, France, in 1999-2000. In 2000, Dr. Ollivier became a PhD graduate student at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. In 2003, he started his residency in comparative ophthalmology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Ollivier is an ophthalmology lecturer from University of Florida and he provides medical and surgical ophthalmic care as well as teaching for the students and residents at FVS. His special interests include the tear film, cornea, anti-proteolytic treatment, and corneal graft. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports including running, biking, climbing, swimming, scuba diving, squash and judo as well as good food and good wines.
ONCOLOGY
Stacy Santoro, DVM is a New Jersey native who obtained her veterinary medical degree in 2002 from Iowa State University. She completed a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey in 2003. Dr. Santoro began her medical oncology residency at Kansas State University, but finished her training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2006. Her special career interests include hematopoietic tumors, cancer of the oral cavity, utilizing new and innovative therapies to treat cancer, and client interactions.
