Emergency Medicine
Dr. Melanie Warthan grew up in Arlington, TX. She earned a B.S. in biology from Harding University in Searcy, AR and then attended Oklahoma State University for her first year of veterinary school. She transferred back to her home state of Texas where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in May of 2006. Dr. Warthan then completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Colorado. She next went into private practice in Minnesota and Florida before joining the emergency team at Florida Veterinary Specialists. Her professional interests include internal medicine and cardiology.
In her spare time, Dr. Warthan enjoys listening to music and spending time with her boyfriend, also a veterinarian, and their pets. |
